How to complain to Parcelforce Worldwide and request review
Create a personalised complaint letter asking for the outcome that fits your case — such as an investigation, refund or compensation where appropriate.
ParcelClaim is independent and is not Parcelforce. You can use the official contact and claim routes directly for free.
Official Parcelforce complaint and contact options
Official online complaint
Open Problem or complaint and follow its webform link. It currently points to Royal Mail Group help: that is Parcelforce’s own published route, not a reason to copy Royal Mail’s complaint stages.
Postal complaint
The same page publishes: Parcelforce Worldwide, Correspondence Team, PO Box 486, Wakefield, WF1 9AG. Keep your parcel and complaint references on the letter.
Step 1: make the initial complaint
Explain whether you bought the postage, are receiving a parcel or are contacting Parcelforce for another person. The complaint page says proof of consent may be requested when acting on someone else’s behalf.
- Give the tracking reference, sender/recipient details and a short timeline.
- Identify previous contacts and why their response is unresolved.
- Describe the requested service action and distinguish it from a claim for a particular amount.
Step 2: follow up or request review
Parcelforce’s own current procedure starts with a Customer Services Advisor. If dissatisfied, request review by its Escalated Customer Resolution Team. After Stage 2, it says a deadlock letter is issued if agreement cannot be reached and the company regards the complaint as closed.
Its next published step points to consumer-advice organisations. This page does not promise Royal Mail’s Postal Review Panel or POSTRS for a Parcelforce shipment. Those must not be inferred from the shared group or a Royal Mail-hosted form. A follow-up should quote the advisor’s decision and state the evidence or action still missing.
Complaint vs compensation claim
The current claim page separates online-postage and business-account claim routes. Choose by how the postage was purchased; a service complaint does not submit that application.
If you received a parcel someone else arranged, ask the sender or postage purchaser to check the applicable claim route and supply booking evidence. Receiving the parcel does not by itself establish compensation eligibility. Parcelforce’s current claim page distinguishes online postage from business accounts; do not infer eligibility from a different Royal Mail retail policy simply because the forms share a help platform.
Ask the official claims team to confirm who may apply for your specific service and booking, including any authority needed to act for another person. Check the live terms and claim dates promptly; a complaint review does not extend a claim deadline. No universal sender-only or recipient claim rule is asserted here.
Information and evidence to prepare
- Parcel reference and the exact service/booking channel.
- Sender and recipient contact details, contents and packaging description.
- Prior complaint response and claim references, kept separately.
- Postage receipt, value evidence and relevant photographs; authority to act for another person where requested.

Retailer arranged the delivery?
For a UK consumer purchase from a business where the seller arranged delivery, Citizens Advice guidance puts delivery responsibility with the seller. Asking the courier to investigate can help, but the seller is normally the party to pursue for the missing-order remedy.
If you independently appointed a carrier not offered by the seller, or the purchase was from a private seller, the position can differ. Identify the actual booking and purchase arrangements rather than treating every recipient as the courier’s contractual customer. For returns, check who supplied or paid for the return service.
Use retailer says contact the courier help or missing-order refund guidance for the purchase dispute. Our complaint directory lists retailer contacts.

Create My Complaint Letter — £2.99Tailored to your case • You send it yourself. The draft does not submit an official claim, extend a deadline or establish entitlement to compensation. For a retailer-arranged order, select the buyer route and enter the actual seller; do not use the sender route just because you received a parcel.
